Signing off for 2023

We’re publishing our final blog of 2023 feeling a sense of achievement. Thanks to those of you that continue to read them each month. In the past 12 months, we’ve extended contracts, received orders from new customers, increased the headcount in the workshop and raised thousands of pounds for a large and small charity. Things feel good.

Sustainability has played a key role in our messaging this year and we’re proud of what we do from an environmental and social value perspective. Our efforts were recognised when we were nominated for a BECBC Award 2023 in the Sustainability: Environmental category.

In addition to our day to day work, we’ve presented to local high school students, met learners on electronic and coding courses, supported the Electech Innovation Cluster strategically and operationally and joined the Repair, Don’t Waste community.

It’s the golden thread that runs throughout Like Technologies and as we move into 2024 we’ll continue to look internally at what sustainability means day to day in our business in addition to our working relationships with clients. Earlier this month, our MD Kate Houlden was invited to take part in a panel discussion with the question being “What hints and tips would you give an organisation looking to take their first steps to become more environmentally friendly and what measurement tools they could use?” which has already sparked some further ideas.

Thank you as always for your support, we really do value our relationships with you. As an alternative to cards and gifts, this year we donated to Springfield during the Big Give week, enabling them to provide face to face outreach support for domestic abuse survivors in rural communities.

We wish you all the best over the festive period, however you are choosing to spend it.
