Legacy Electronics Support and Repair Engineer

Responsibilities

Your initial role will be workshop based and will involve repair and test of legacy electronic equipment. Opportunity exists to develop test programs for ATE and construction of rigs to aid repair processes. Test and qualification activities will form the basis of a training program to develop the successful candidate so that they can operate on site in a Service Engineer capacity.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have knowledge of digital and analogue electronics extending back to the microprocessor era
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment and PCB rework will be advantageous, as will experience of on-site servicing

Working Hours

The working hours are 08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, with up to an hour lunch break. (37.5 hours per week), the successful candidate would be required to participate in a rota system providing out of hours cover.
